Privacy Policy

You can use Where Tomorrow without signing up. We do not ask for your name, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share personal data for advertising. The site shows no ads.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages and views are opened, which features are used (for example a filter, a view or a share button) and where people stop. We never send your name, email address or anything you type into a field.

In the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off until you choose Accept on the cookie banner. Until then Google receives only measurements without cookies or identifiers stored on your device. Elsewhere analytics cookies are on by default and you can turn them off with Decline.

Legal basis: your consent for the cookies, and our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used for the measurements without cookies.

Only if you choose Accept, we load Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, the layout you saw) so we can find what is confusing or broken. It is never loaded before you accept, or after you decline. By Clarity's default settings, text you type into fields is masked. Legal basis: your consent.

If you leave your email address to hear when a place is added or verified, we store it with the place or search it is about, the consent text you agreed to and the time. We use it to email you about that place and, now and then, with news about Where Tomorrow. You can unsubscribe at any time, or ask us to delete your address.

We may use an email service provider to send these emails, on our behalf and under a data processing agreement. We never sell your address or share it for anyone else's marketing. Legal basis: your consent.

The Support button opens your own email app with a message to us. What you send is used to answer you.

To remember your choices, the site keeps some settings in your browser's storage: your cookie choice, your setup answers and priorities, the region and colour theme you picked, which “tell me” requests you made, and a copy of the latest data so the site opens faster. These are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services, which handles the technical data every web request carries, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages. Place photographs are loaded from Wikimedia Commons, which receives the same kind of request data. When you share to LinkedIn, X, Facebook or Instagram, that platform's own privacy policy applies to what you post there.

We keep personal data only as long as the purpose above needs it: email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and analytics data for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can change your cookie choice with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of this page. For anything else, email privacy@impalastudios.com.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
